Which Businesses Typically Choose What?

Hair stylists, personal trainers, consultants, therapistsMost common choice: Kordless Page onlyWhy: Simple setup, easy to share, don’t need a full website. The Kordless Page has everything they need - bio, services, booking, and contact info.
Salons, dental offices, law firms, auto shopsMost common choice: Website with embedded widget + Kordless Page for socialWhy: They already have a website and want to keep customers there, but also need a link for Instagram and text messages.
Plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapersMost common choice: Website with embedded widgetWhy: Most customers find them through Google search or referrals, so having booking on their website captures those leads. Less focus on social media.

Influencer services, content creators, online coachesMost common choice: Kordless Page onlyWhy: Their audience lives on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. A link-in-bio page is exactly what they need.

Setting Up Your Page

When you create or edit your page, you’ll work through five tabs. Each tab handles a different part of your page.

Tab 1: Introduction

The Introduction tab is where you set up your business identity - the first thing customers see when they visit your page.

Page Name

This is the headline at the top of your page. It should be your business name. Examples:
  • “Downtown Barbershop”
  • “Sarah’s Cleaning Service”
  • “Miller & Associates Law”
  • “Bright Smile Dental”
Keep your page name simple and recognizable. Use the name customers already know you by.

Public URL

This is your unique web address. When you type something like joes-barbershop, your full link becomes kord.page/joes-barbershop. Rules for your URL:
  • Only letters, numbers, and dashes (no spaces or special characters)
  • Keep it short and easy to remember
  • Use lowercase letters
Good examples:
  • kord.page/joes-barbershop
  • kord.page/smithlaw
  • kord.page/bright-smile-dental
  • kord.page/sarahs-cleaning
Avoid:
  • Long URLs like kord.page/joes-barbershop-downtown-location-main-street
  • Random characters like kord.page/jb12345xyz
Choose your URL carefully! Pick one that is easy to memorize.

Short Description

A one or two sentence description that appears below your business name. This is optional but helps customers understand what you offer. Examples:
  • “Family-owned barbershop serving downtown since 1985”
  • “Professional house cleaning services in the Austin area”
  • “Personal injury attorneys fighting for your rights”
  • “Quality dental care for the whole family”
Think of this as your “elevator pitch” - what would you tell someone in 10 seconds about your business?

Tab 2: Contacts

The Contacts tab lets you add ways for customers to reach you. Each contact method appears as a clickable icon on your page.

Available Contact Types

Your business phone number. When customers tap this on their phone, it starts a call. How to enter it:
  • Enter your number in any format: (555) 123-4567 or 555-123-4567 or +1 555 123 4567

Adding Multiple Contacts

You can add as many contact methods as you want. Click Add another contact method to add more.
Quality over quantity. Only add contacts you actually respond to. If you never check Twitter, don’t add it - customers will get frustrated if they message you there and don’t hear back.
Not sure which contacts to add? Here’s what works best for different businesses:
Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC, Cleaners, Landscapers:Must have:
  • Phone (customers often need to call for emergencies or questions)
  • Google Maps (so customers know your service area)
Nice to have:
  • Email (for quotes and follow-ups)
  • Facebook (many home services get referrals here)
Why: Home service customers usually want to talk to someone before booking. Phone is critical.

Tab 3: Booking

The Booking tab controls whether customers can book appointments directly from your page.

Turning Booking On or Off

Use the Show booking block toggle to enable or disable booking on your page. When booking is ON:
  • Customers see a calendar on your page
  • They can pick a service, date, and time
  • They enter their contact information
  • You receive the booking in your Kordless calendar
When booking is OFF:
  • The booking section is hidden
  • Customers can still see your links and contact information
  • Use this if you prefer to handle bookings by phone or through another system
Booking requires Booking Pro. If you’re on the free plan, you’ll see a message about upgrading. You can still create a page with links and contacts - the booking feature just won’t be available.

Requirements for Booking to Work

For customers to successfully book through your page, you need:
  1. At least one service - Go to CalendarServices to create services customers can book
  2. Availability set up - Go to CalendarAvailability to define when you’re available
  3. Booking Pro subscription - Make sure your plan includes booking features

The Links tab is where you add buttons that direct customers to your other important destinations. For each link, you enter two things:
  1. Button Label - The text that appears on the button (what customers click)
  2. Destination URL - Where the button takes them (the web address)
Examples:
Button LabelDestination URL
Visit Our Websitehttps://joesbarbershop.com
View Our Menuhttps://joesbarbershop.com/menu
See Our Reviewshttps://yelp.com/biz/joes-barbershop
Book an Appointmenthttps://joesbarbershop.com/book
Shop Our Productshttps://shop.joesbarbershop.com

Writing Good Button Labels

Your button labels should be short and tell customers exactly what they’ll get when they click. Good labels (action words):
  • “Book Now”
  • “View Menu”
  • “See Our Work”
  • “Get a Quote”
  • “Shop Online”
  • “Read Reviews”
  • “Download App”
Avoid:
  • “Link” (doesn’t say what it is)
  • “Our Amazing Portfolio of Work That We’ve Done Over the Years” (too long)
Keep button labels under 3-4 words. Short labels are easier to read and look better on mobile phones.
We recommend 5-7 links maximum. Here’s why:
  • Too few links - Your page might feel empty
  • Too many links - Customers get overwhelmed and don’t click anything
Put your most important links first. Customers are most likely to click the top few buttons.
Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC, Cleaners, Landscapers, Pool Service:
  • Book a Service Call
  • Get a Free Quote
  • Our Services
  • Service Areas We Cover
  • Customer Reviews
  • Emergency/24-Hour Contact
  • Before & After Photos

Tab 5: Share

The Share tab shows you your public links and lets you publish or delete your page. You’ll see two important links:
  1. Public Link - Your main page URL (example: kord.page/joes-barbershop)
  2. Booking Link - A direct link to your booking section (example: kord.page/joes-barbershop#booking)
Use the Copy button to copy either link to your clipboard.
Use the Booking Link when you specifically want customers to book. For example, in a text message: “Ready for your next haircut? Book here: kord.page/joes-barbershop#booking”

QR Code

Download a QR code for your page that customers can scan with their phone camera. How to get your QR code:
  1. Go to the Share tab
  2. Find the QR code section
  3. Click Download to save it to your computer
Where to use your QR code:
  • Business cards
  • Flyers and brochures
  • In-store signage and counter displays

How Booking Works With Your CRM

When a customer books through your Kordless Page, several things happen automatically:

New Customer

If this is their first time booking:
  1. A new contact is created in your CRM
  2. The booking is logged as their first activity
  3. The source is marked as “Kordless Page”

Returning Customer

If they’ve booked before (matched by email):
  1. Their existing contact record is updated
  2. The new booking is added to their activity history
  3. You can see their full booking history

What Gets Tracked

For each booking from your page, Kordless records:
  • Customer name, email, and phone
  • Service booked
  • Date and time
  • Source (Kordless Page)
  • Notes they added during booking

Best Practices

Keep Your Page Current

Review your page regularly and update:
  • Remove expired promotions or seasonal offers
  • Update links that have changed
  • Add new services or products
  • Remove contacts you no longer monitor

Make Booking Easy

If you offer appointments:
  • Keep booking enabled so customers can self-serve
  • Make sure your availability is up-to-date
  • Respond quickly to booking confirmations

Write for Mobile

Most people will view your page on their phone:
  • Use short button labels (2-4 words)
  • Keep your description brief
  • Test your page on a phone before sharing
Put your most important link first - that’s what customers are most likely to click. Usually this is “Book Now” or “View Menu” or your main call-to-action.

Troubleshooting

Check these things:
  • Make sure you’re using the correct URL (it’s case-sensitive for the slug)
  • Verify your page shows as “Live” in your dashboard
  • Try accessing from a different browser or device
Still not working? Your page may not have been created successfully. Try creating it again.
This can happen if:
  • Booking is turned off (check the Booking tab)
  • You don’t have any services configured
  • You don’t have availability set up
  • Your subscription doesn’t include booking
Fix it: Go to Calendar → Services to add services, then Calendar → Availability to set your hours.
This might happen if:
  • The file was too large (max 2MB)
  • The format isn’t supported (use PNG, JPG, or SVG)
  • The upload didn’t complete
Fix it: Try uploading a smaller image. Resize your logo to 400x400 pixels before uploading.
Check:
  • Your notification settings in Calendar settings
  • The customer’s email was entered correctly
  • Ask customers to check their spam folder
Note: Booking confirmations are sent automatically. If they’re not arriving, contact support.
